摘要: Conversion factors between the energy imparted to patient in pediatric radiography and air collision kerma integrated over beam area are presented. The values have been derived from Monte Carlo calculations soft tissue phantoms extend results published earlier cover children early infancy age of 15 years. Variations related phantom size as well focus-phantom distance, radiation field size, orientation view (a.p., lateral), tube potential, filtration given. We show that conversion factor increases with increasing half-value layer X-ray anterioposterior width simulated child. Increasing distance factor, while decreases due more scattered escaping laterally phantom.
