摘要: Postoperative length of stay (LOS) may be affected by more intensive physical therapy following surgery. This study was designed to assess whether LOS could weekend surgery in patients who had undergone total hip arthroplasty (THA) or knee (TKA). Weekend coverage for these made possible increased staffing the Physical Therapy Department. The group consisted 84 THA TKA and treatment Control 53 prior implementation intervention program. A retrospective chart audit used obtain pertinent information about control patients. In sample mean (10.84 days) significantly different (p < 0.05) from (12.28 days). Significant decreases postoperative were also found within two subgroups TKA. results indicate that when resources are accommodate this increase coverage.
