摘要: The characterization of the active structure water-splitting catalysts is crucial to evolve a sustainable energy future based on hydrogen. Such information can only be obtained by operando methods. We present diffuse reflectance UV-vis (DRUV) spectroelectrochemical study that allows tracking changes solid oxygen evolution under working conditions. versatility our approach demonstrated two cobalt-containing catalysts, Zn0.35Co0.65O and CoAl2O4. undergo during reaction tracked probing electronic using spectroscopy. These findings are compared ex situ analyses, which support assignments structures stabilized different potentials. Thus, structure–activity correlations proposed, deeper insights into catalytically obtained.
