摘要: Abstract Background Plants and their parts are a part of life in many Brazilian communities, as observed the jackfruit. The jackfruit seeds consumed, usually, roasted, boiled, steamed, eaten snack. Objective present study was carried out to identify Artocarpus heterophyllus toxicity cytotoxic activity. Methods extracts were tested assays like, brine shrimp lethality assay, hemolysis effect seed on T47D, TH29 B16F10 cancer cell lines, acute subchronic mice. Results presents no toxic effects shrimp, hemolytic activity, effective lines like B16F10. IC50 obtained from 46.67 μg/ml chloroform extract T47D cells, 23.42 μg/ml ethanolic HT29 74.31 μg/ml ethyl acetic cells. Ethanolic presented zero index able reduce level glycemia females (32.3%) test. Conclusions With this results we can conclude that toxicity, is very determinated requiring further studies validate use active natural product against
