摘要: Cannabis abuse is related to impairments in a broad range of cognitive functions. However, studies on cannabis relation brain structure are sparse and results inconsistent, probably due differences imaging methodology, severity abuse, use other substances. The goal the current MRI study was investigate morphology lifetime dependence heavy users without intensive illicit drugs. Voxel-based morphometry used assess regional grey white matter volume between 33 42 matched controls. Within users, correlated with measures dependence. Analyses were focused priori orbitofrontal cortex, anterior cingulate striatum, amygdala, hippocampus, cerebellum, regions implicated substance and/or high cannabinoid receptor-1 concentrations. Regional cerebellum larger users. group amygdala hippocampus negatively amount or No associations found These findings indicate that altered complex. Differential patterns structural changes for various levels imply alterations associated specific characteristics
