摘要: This chapter provides the fundamentals of ultrasonic sensing techniques that can be used in various fields engineering and science. It also includes some advanced for non-destructive evaluations. At first, basic characteristics waves propagating media are described briefly. Secondly, concepts measuring with introductory subjects transducers generate receive waves. Finally, specialized results demonstrating capabilities using a buffer rod sensor monitoring at high temperatures presented.
