摘要: Balance disorders are common issues for aging populations due to the effects of normal on peripheral vestibular structures. These changes affect results function evaluations and make interpretation these more difficult. The objective this article is review current state knowledge clinically relevant measures. We will first focus otolith assessment methods cervical-VEMP (cVEMP) ocular-VEMP (oVEMP), then caloric video-head impulse test (vHIT) semicircular canals assessment. cVEMP oVEMP useful methods, though research age some parameters still inconclusive. vHIT largely independent as compared stimulation should therefore be preferred evaluation function.
