摘要: This contribution presents empirical results on changes in socio-ecological metabolism and land use agriculture two regions around the Upper Austrian Eisenwurzen LTSER Platform from late nineteenth century to turn of twenty-first century. Based local regional statistical records, agricultural production systems are traced it is shown how industrialisation (marked e.g. by a strong increase machinery output yields) shaped very distinct patterns change biogeographically different regions. While this investigation contributes major themes LTSER, i.e. use, systemic quantitative perspective does not per se address LTSER’s third theme, governance decision making. We suggest that concepts environmental history have potential fill gap. Using concept socio-natural sites, we explore can benefit an actors’ along three examples which could merit research.
