Enhancing the solar still performance using nanofluids and glass cover cooling: Experimental study

摘要: The use of graphite and copper oxide micro-flakes with different concentrations, basin water depths, film cooling flow rates is experimentally investigated in an attempt to improve the performance solar still. concentrations are ranged from 0.125% 2%. While, nanofluid depths 0.25 5 cm. Whereas, glass between 1 12 kg/h. obtained results show that still productivity enhanced by about 44.91% 53.95% using micro-flakes, respectively, compared conventional (without micro-flakes). In case over cover, as a feed water, output yield improved 47.80% 57.60% particles, respectively while daily efficiency 30%. Furthermore, efficiencies 38% 40% when graphite, without cooling. Finally, stills’ 46% 49%, respectively.
