摘要: 10-Hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA) is the major compound produced from mandibular glands (MGs) of honey bee workers. However, little information available on molecular mechanisms 10-HDA biosynthesis. In our study, based investigating secretion pattern and morphological characteristics MGs workers different ages, a comparative proteomic analysis was performed in with production. total, 59 up-regulated protein species representing 45 unique proteins were identified high 10-HDA-producing by 2-DE–MALDI–TOF/TOF MS. These involved carbohydrate/energy metabolism, fatty metabolism folding, antioxidation, cytoskeleton, development cell signaling. Proteins related to including synthase β-oxidation enzymes, are potentially crucial biosynthesis pathway. And RNA interference (RNAi) results demonstrated that knockdown electron transfer flavoprotein subunit beta (ETF-β), one decreased production worker bees, suggesting ETF-β necessary for This study reveals bees at developmental stages associated biosynthesis, which provides first insight into mechanism
