摘要: Optimum laminate configurations for laminated cylindrical shells under axial compression are investigated and obtained buckling constraints. Complete freedom is given in the selection of ply angle variation through thickness. Twelve lamination parameters introduced to describe properties, optimal values these numerically. It shown that there many different which give same load. The optimality condition derived semiempirically from numerical results terms parameters. maximum load material properties. Some examples presented. one can be when an infinite number infinitely thin layers arranged so shell becomes quasi-isotropic surface quasihomogeneous
