An analysis of the world’s environment and population with varying carrying capacity and concerns

摘要: Due to the open-access nature of environment we consider an ad hoc adjustment people’s footprints. People’s environmental concerns are intensified (diminished) as quality falls below (rises above) a threshold. Changes in affect Earth’s carrying capacity. We claim that without technological, social and international progress interplay between nonoptimally changing capacity embarks world’s human population on clockwise oscillating course leads unique interior steady state with similar current one residing slightly more degraded environment.
