摘要: In the debate regarding whether or not organizational size (personnel) precedes structure (units) most empirical analyses are based on cross-sectional and, to a lesser extent, longitudinal data. The only time-serties analysis available confirms hypothesis that size. This article presents time-series suggests sizeprecedes-structure is particularly relevant fastgrowing organizations in their early years, while structureprecedes-size under reform.
