摘要: Intramolecular photoinduced charge separation which occurs in 9,9′- bianthryl (BA) is favoured at reduced temperature and increased solvent polarity, where the transfer radiative nonradiative rate constants are strongly reduced. A weak interchromophore π-interaction prerequiste for efficient symmetric systems like BA. Charge localisation Ruthenium-tris-bipyridyl complexes can be understood within same framework, multistep predicted by combining small-overlap structures with twisted octahedral geometry.
