On dust acoustic instability in a negative ion plasma

摘要: Recently, there has been interest in the properties of dust acoustic waves (DAWs) dusty negative ion plasmas. Here, behavior dust-acoustic instability as a function density is considered using kinetic theory. The small enough so negatively charged, but charge decreases increases. Parameters that may be representative laboratory collisional plasmas are considered, with ions drifting relative to at speeds less than or comparable their respective thermal speeds. For parameters DAW leads propagating direction positive drift when no present. growth rate increases initially. As further, DAWs can excited substantial rates. large density, wave quenched. Observing these behaviors help identify current an origin excitation.
