Effect of Gold Nanoparticles Incorporation on Electrical Conductivity and Methane Gas Sensing Characteristics of Lead Sulfide Colloidal Nanocrystals

摘要: PbS nanocrystals (NCs) have recently shown the capability of room temperature sensing some gasses like methane (CH4). Incorporation silver nanoparticles (NPs) has been previously to improve characteristics NCs. Gold (Au) is another noble metal, which commonly used as additive modify gas properties semiconductors. Here, in this paper, it how incorporation an appropriate amount Au NPs improves Electrical conductivity, sensor response, and speed are studied a function concentration (0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%). The best modifications were achieved by addition 1% into NCs matrix.
