The fundamentals of software aging

摘要: Since the notion of software aging was introduced thirteen years ago, interest in this phenomenon has been increasing from both academia and industry. The majority research efforts studying have focused on understanding its effects theoretically empirically. However, conceptual aspects related to foundation not covered literature. This paper discusses foundational phenomenon, introducing new concepts interconnecting them with current body knowledge, order compose a base taxonomy for research. Three real case studies are presented purpose exemplifying many discussed.
