Interacting with Dementia: The MARIO Approach.

摘要: MARIO is a companion robot that aims to help people with dementia (PWD) battle isolation and loneliness by enabling them stay socially active providing number of applications focused on hobbies (music, movies, etc), staying engaged communities (reading headlines, reading local twitter feeds etc.) connected family friends (telephoning them, their news from twitter, etc.). This paper presents the results initial trials interacting PWD involving limited set applications. It confirms some challenges hypothesized at outset study provides guidelines for future development work.
