摘要: Aims. We look for common proper motion companions to stars of the nearby young beta Pictoris moving group. Methods. First, we compiled a list 185 members and candidate from 35 representative works. Next, used Aladin STILTS virtual observatory tools, PPMXL Washington Double Star catalogues companion candidates. The resulting potential were subjects dedicated astro-photometric follow-up using public data all-sky surveys. After discarding 67 sources by 31 colour-magnitude diagrams, obtained final 36 systems. binding energy two them is perhaps too small be considered physically bound. Results. Of pairs multiple systems, eight are new, 16 have only one stellar component previously classified as member, three secondaries at or below hydrogen-burning limit. Sixteen reported here first time group members. unexpected large number high-order 12 triples quadruples among may suggest biased towards close binaries an increment high-order-multiple fraction very wide
