摘要: Angiogenesis, the process of new blood vessel formation, has been a major target for cancer therapy. Antiangiogenic herbal medicines are useful in treatment cancer. In this study, we found that water extract Cinnamomum cassia (CCWE) was potent inhibitor angiogenesis. cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cells, CCWE suppressed vascular growth factor (VEGF)-induced proliferation, migration, invasion, tube and intracellular signaling events such as phosphorylation ERK, p38 VEGFR2, activation matrix metalloproteinase. Furthermore, inhibited VEGF-induced sprouting rat aorta ex vivo. These findings might be particular interest drug development because VEGF is potential angiogenesis-associated diseases.
