摘要: Abstract We investigated the effects of rhein, an active metabolite diacerein, on interleukin-1α-stimulated production nitric oxide (NO) in rabbit articular chondrocytes, and diacerein NO rat adjuvant-induced arthritis. At doses 10 30 μM, rhein significantly inhibited chondrocytes. In arthritis model, was administered for 21 days, starting at time adjuvant injection. Paw swelling plasma level were measured order to assess effect biosynthesis whole body. 100 mg/kg/day, suppressed development increase NO. These results suggest that inhibitory is partly related its reduction induced by
