摘要: In vivo and in vitro studies of nervous tissues exposed to microwave radiation are reported. It is shown that the conduction transmission latencies amplitudes evoked potentials both CNS anesthetized cats, isolated nerves ganglia rabbits affected by CW microwaves a manner very similar localized heat. Temperature rises always associated with any observable changes measured characteristics irradiation. The threshold occurrence latency falls between 2.5 – 5.0 W/kg absorbed power density which about one-quarter one-half normal metabolic rate brain tissue. This corresponds 5 –10 mW/cm2 10 25 incident upon cat head human head, respectively. Pulsed high peak intensity low average induce hearing phenomenon man. Electrophysiological on cats indicate pulsed interact mammalian auditory systems conventional acoustic perception. A possible mechanism interaction energy release from rapid thermal expansion due absorption gross structure head.
