摘要: There is growing recognition of an interaction between cerebrovascular disease and Alzheimer's disease, but the mechanisms this remain poorly understood. While macroscopic stroke can clearly produce cognitive deficits accelerate prevalence implications microvascular in pathogenesis has been harder to define. At present, white matter (WM) lesions, primarily defined as hyperintensities seen on T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), provide best biomarker at level. However, T2 WM also be caused by other such inflammation. Arterial spin labeled (ASL) perfusion MRI provides a noninvasive approach for quantifying cerebral blood flow (CBF). We explored CBF measurements with ASL AD patients, mild impairment age-matched control group determine if gray or could correlated stratify patients severity. In retrospective sample, we were able obtain credible measures using observed trends suggesting that may useful disease. Future prospective studies larger cohorts optimized protocols will needed validate these observations.
