摘要: In Japan, the only digital road map data bases that have been provided for vehicle navigation are those were prepared experimentally limited areas. The preparation of a Digital Road Map Data Base practical use over all Japan commenced in August, 1988, to comply with urgent market need, and first version was completed March, 1989. This base is called "Japan (DRMap) 1988 " intended as navigation. It contains highly accurate configuration location information well much on attributes. also infrastructure can be used other purposes such management publishing. paper reports upon DRMap development program, design principles, file contents accuracy.
