摘要: Complexes of the hydrotris(methimazolyl)borate ligand (Tm) have been prepared with zinc, cadmium and mercury halides. type [M(Tm)X] were obtained characterised by NMR mass spectrometry, X-ray crystallographic analysis [Zn(Tm)X] (X = Cl, Br, I) reveals a symmetrical coordination mode ligand, but no significant change different halides, which sit on approximate C-3 axes complexes, The structures [M(Tm)Br] (M Cd, Hg) are isomorphous one another, Again, is symmetrically coordinated to metal, halide now significantly displaced from axis M(Tm) unit, resulting in what approximates trigonal pyramidal geometry. Unlike most distorted structures, little bond length expansion (towards two- or three-coordinate geometries) occurs. This ascribed strong affinity thione donors for Hg.
