摘要: The landfills located at the sea shore or below ground water table are a severe cause of concern due to their close proximity sensitive coastal ecosystems and pristine waters. Therefore, it is important assess long term environmental risks before final closure. In this context, reactive transport models, by allowing us study complex interplay leachate, estuarine waters, can help in predicting long-term impacts these sites. present attempted model impact intrusion on leachate quality migration onset closure Spillepeng landfill Malmo, southern Sweden. This objective was achieved using code called PHREEQC. For modelling, different scenarios were considered; 1) Ground seawater flooding period, 2) migrating from run, 3) worst case scenario considered increasing hydraulic conductivity as result changes porosity barrier. Within scenarios, processes like solute transport, cation exchange degradation DOC modelled. modelling results showed that breakthrough through barriers within 100 years. diffusion dominated significantly increased time span. Even after 500 years could reach up 8 meters simulation Na replacing Ca exchanges sites raised possibility sealing pores reduction dispersion. biodegradation reaction for depletion redox buffer bottom sediments landfill. It concluded low concentrations pollutants, dilution, attenuation not serious threat both Finally, suggested assessment problems extreme events such storms, level rise, tidal fluctuations should be incorporated future studies.
