摘要: Inflammation represents a localized or systemic response against tissue cell injury, which, on the one hand, is essential among defense mechanisms and, other, involved in broad spectrum of diseases. According to initiating event, inflammatory may involve, not, an antigenspecific immune response. In first case, agent generally microorganism antigen unknown origin, while latter, cells respond injurious physical agents (foreign bodies, burns, radiations, trauma) toxic chemicals. Lymphocytes are classically specific response, and phagocytes its non-specific counterpart.
