摘要: Abstract A number of batch polymerizations were performed to study the effect pristine nanoparticle loading on kinetics free radical and RAFT properties polystyrene/silica nanocomposites. To polymerization, Conversion, molecular weight polydispersity index (PDI) monitored during polymerization investigate reaction kinetics. According results, adding nanoparticles causes no considerable change in kinetic curves, while there is an optimum value for which monomer conversion reaches its maximum level. However, increasing silica content resulted increase PDI values. In comparison with lower polymerization. The prepared samples characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis (DMTA), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). TGA samples, one stage degradation related random chain scission observed nanocomposites has occurred two steps due decomposition moieties scission. Also, best improvement mechanical thermophysical achieved containing 5 wt% nanoparticles.
