摘要: Abstract Poor permeability, high mud and impurities contents, severe curing conditions ore complexity are primary challenges faced by Yangla Copper Mine (YCM) during acid leaching, resulting in a poor 1% copper extraction after 3 months of traditional leaching. A series technological improvements, which included antiscalant addition, washing, classified crushing screening, thin-layer conveying dumping, mechanical/chemical activation, were applied YCM to enhance heap permeability from low-grade oxides. These improvements increased over 60 the production cathode reached 2500 t/a. Related topics such as: surface erosion, particle size distribution, structure, irrigation rate, passivation its effects also discussed this study. Even though some relevant mechanisms for enhanced recovery still being studied, successful industrial case provides good reference oxide mines encountering similar problems.
