摘要: For decades, safe surgery focused on intraoperative technique and decision-making. The traditional hierarchy placed the surgeon as leader with ultimate authority responsibility. Despite advances in surgical equipment, too many patients have suffered unnecessary complications suboptimal care. Today, we understand that conduct of effective requires evidence-based decision-making, multifaceted treatment approaches to prevent complications, communication out operating room. In this manuscript, describe three significant quality safety changed approach care: National Surgical Quality Improvement Program, bundled prevention site infections, Safety Checklist.
