摘要: Abstract We monitored eye movements in cats with their heads immobilized, using videotaped television recordings of pupillary translations and d.c. electro-oculography. Cats only deviate eyes by up to 20° from the midline: they hold fixation quite constant for several seconds: can make pure conjugate saccades without changing convergence angle; converge diverge many degrees follow interesting objects. The disjunctive are difficult elicit repeatedly generally much slower than movements, whose velocity increases amplitude about 300° sec −1
