摘要: This work reports the theoretical investigation of optical fiber surface plasmon resonance sensors incorporating an internal metallic layer silver covered with oxide layer. research is supported by application effective analytical model combining geometrical optics transfer matrix theory for stratified media. Different materials like titanium dioxide, silicon and aluminum are considered aiming to achieve increased/enhanced sensitivity refractive index variations external medium, particularly when addressing phase interrogation. It shown that combination a 50-nm thickness inner dielectric specific enables high-performance reading compatible tailoring sensor working region third telecommunication wavelength window around 1550 nm.
