摘要: Cold Workability limits of Brass were studied as a function friction, aspect ratio and specimen geometry. Five standard shapes the axis symmetric specimens cylindrical with ratios 1.0 and 1.5, ring, tapered flanged selected for present investigation. Specimens deformed in compression between two flat platens to predict the metal flow at room temperature. The longitudinal oblique cracks obtained as the major modes surface fractures. Cylindrical ring specimen shows oblique surface crack while crack. Machine Vision system using PC based video recording with CCD camera was used analyze the deformation 4 X mm square grid marked mid plane specimen. strain paths obtained from different exhibited nonlinearity beginning end the strain path. circumferential stress component Os increasingly becomes tensile continued deformation.
