摘要: Objectives: To compare growth patterns and estimates of malnutrition based on the World Health Organization (WHO) Child Growth Standards (‘the WHO standards’) National Center for Statistics (NCHS)/WHO international reference NCHS reference’), discuss implications child health programmes. Design: Secondary analysis longitudinal data to (birth 12 months) from two cross-sectional surveys among under-fives. Settings: Bangladesh, Dominican Republic a pooled sample infants North America Northern Europe. Subjects: Respectively 4787, 10 381 226 children. Results: Healthy breast-fed tracked along standard’s weight-for-age mean Z-score while appearing falter 2 months onwards. Underweight rates increased during first six thereafter decreased when standards. For all age groups stunting were higher according Wasting severe wasting substantially half infancy. Thereafter, prevalence continued be 1.5 2.5 times that reference. The increase in overweight standards varied by group, with an overall relative 34%. Conclusions: provide better tool monitor rapid changing rate early Their adoption will have important respect assessment lactation performance adequacy infant feeding. Population vary age, indicator nutritional status index populations.
