The Social Dimension of Distance Learning by Interactive Television: A Qualitative Study

摘要: This qualitative study examined instructors’ and students’ perceptions of social relationship in distance learning. Interview observational data were collected analyzed to generate theories. Factors influencing a sense analyzed. Findings revealed greater difficulty establishing interactive television environments than face-to-face environments. Both instructors students found it more important build personal connection between them. Instructors’ preference for course delivery building rapport with was travel teach at the remote sites. The implies that faculty administrators should seriously consider, their decision-making, both gains losses as format.
