摘要: In Botswana secondary schools, a positive climate is more of an ideal than reality. It is the task stakeholders particularly the headteacher's to create and sustain conducive learning environment improve pupils' academic behaviour standards. To large extent, headteacher, as individual occupying highest official position in the school, determines how school run. His/her expectations, values, beliefs, relationships with teachers examples he/she sets for whole shape the climate school. The headteacher can promote or inhibit through his/her leadership pattern. Thus, style is significant creating sustaining climate. This study has been undertaken examine connectedness between and school research focuses on improvement Botswana secondary schools through appropriate use styles in different situations view answer following questions: What different leadership are employed by headteachers? different types of climates schools? Are headteachers responsible that exists their implications headteachers' leadership climate? How be improved? roles can headteachers, other play climate? The report comprises six chapters: Chapter one contains background information research, statement problem, aim objectives the research, demarcation study, definition concepts, methods the research structure. two presents review literature styles, factors affecting it discussion models from perspectives form part this chapter.
