摘要: The X-ray nova XTE J1118+480 suffers minimal extinction (b = 62°) and therefore represents an outstanding opportunity for multiwavelength studies. Hynes et al. conducted the first such study, which was centered on 2000 April 8 using UKIRT, EUVE, HST, RXTE. On 18, Chandra X-Ray Observatory obtained data coincident with a second set of observations all these same observatories. A 30 ks grating observation yielded spectrum high resolution sensitivity covering range 0.24-7 keV. Our near-simultaneous cover ≈80% electromagnetic from infrared to hard X-rays. UV/X-ray consists two principal components. is ≈24 eV thermal component that caused by accretion disk large inner radius: 35R Schw. quasi power-law recorded complete spectral coverage 0.4 160 model this two-component presented in companion paper Esin
