摘要: GY785 is an exopolysaccharide produced by a mesophilic bacterial strain Alteromonas infernus discovered in the deep-sea hydrothermal vents. highly sulfated derivative (GY785 DRS) was previously demonstrated to be promising molecule driving efficient mesenchymal stem cell chondrogenesis for cartilage repair. This glycosaminoglycan- (GAG-) like compound modified classical solvent (N,N′-dimethylformamide). However, use of solvents limits polysaccharide solubility and causes backbone degradation. In present study, one-step sulfation process devoid side effects (e.g., depolymerization and/or degradation) developed produce GAG-like derivatives. The DR) carried out using ionic liquid as reaction medium. successful this anionic branched heteropolysaccharide performed would facilitate production new molecules high specificity biological targets such tissue engineering or regenerative medicine.
