摘要: On a uniformly sloping beach, high salinity build-up along the coast associated with brine discharge into sea can be avoided by building longer outfall. For an existing seawater desalination plant, extending outfall will affect design specification of plant. Using two-dimensional advection-diffusion equation, model solutions that minimize shoreline levels without are presented.
