摘要: Use of water-base coolant is a pre-requisite in an high speed grinding process to avoid thermal damage and achieve better surface integrity as well higher ratio. However, the presence hazardous chemical additives causes environmental problems. As result, stringent government legislation being practiced for use disposal, which consumes 7-17% total machining cost. This paper reports flux minimization through controlled jet impingement so prolong replenishment cycle. Control was achieved development "metered quantity coolant" (MQC) nozzle supplies required amount zone. Also, this investigation has shown that velocity significant influence on performance. When inadequate, could not penetrate into The increase realized with reduction opening area does large coolant. significance reduce pollution costs extended period. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
