摘要: The role of interictal brain single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) was examined using (99mTc)- labeled hexamethylpropyleneamine oxime (HMPAO) in refractory partial epilepsy. accuracy with which SPECT localized an epileptic focus and whether it predicted long-term postoperative seizure relief were assessed. Twenty patients evaluated, 14 whom ultimately had anterior temporal lobectomy follow-up ranging from 41 to 56 months. A single-headed gamma camera used. showed ipsilateral hypoperfusion 8 (47%) 17 lobe epilepsy either multilobar or no perfusion defects the rest. sensitivity specificity similar a more complex clinical picture who required intracranial electrodes those did not. Presence absence not correlate relief. It is concluded that 99mTc-HMPAO does add useful information preoperative localization predicting
