摘要: Background: In developing countries, especially in Southeast Asia, there is a misconception that genetics only relevant to dysmorphology and prenatal obstetrics. Respiratory diseases, which are the most prevalent, range from simple Mendelian (single gene) diseases complex (polygenic) disorders, surely have genetic determinants. Now, even this “post-genomic era” many clinicians not aware of advances available for prevention, diagnosis, therapy respiratory diseases. Objective: The aim study serve as comprehensive review or genomics but highlight information clinical practice. Here, we describe pertaining some frequently encountered Methods: present was prepared by reviewing current literature using PubMed Web Science searches. Results: Knowledge basic principles terms important Based on knowledge, can now recognize much progress field. single gene been identified. Translating into such great potential benefit patients. Conclusion: Genomics molecular could be integrated setting. Ultimately, genomic knowledge approaches will become increasingly setting Keywords: Genetics, genomics, lung medical sciences,
