摘要: Cholesteryl oleate liquid crystals were prepared by sonication as a model of lipid droplets accumulated in foam cells derived from macrophages. These spherical and showed an anisotropic cross image. Hormone-sensitive lipase bovine adipose tissue hydrolyzed these optimally at pH 6.8. The Km for the was about 8 times that vesicles or emulsified cholesteryl oleate. Vmax same substrate 6 vesicle substrate. Phospholipid inhibited hydrolysis concentration-dependent fashion, phosphatidylserine being especially inhibitory. effect phospholipids on activity changed upon their incorporation into crystals, phosphatidylethanolamine increasing to twice control. results suggest hormone-sensitive hydrolyzes endogenous its activities are affected phospholipids.
