摘要: The heat resistant property of silver-loading zeolite 4A antibacterial agent (SLZ) was investigated by treatment methodology. morphological and structural changes the specimens were characterized using differential thermal analyzer (TG-DTA), scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction techniques. particle size measured Malvern instruments zetasizer systems, silver content determined inductively coupled plasma spectrometer. Escherichia coli (E. coli) chosen as indicators fecal contamination to evaluate effect minimum inhibitory concentration method. service life also tested. experimental results indicated that heat-treatment temperature increases, more aggregating occurs, decreases, color SLZ gradually from white brown, ability falls. release rate Ag+ cation became slow after at 400, 450, 500°C, thus resulting in prolonged SLZ. When approached 800°C, collapse structure occurred, crystals SiO2 Al2O3 formed recrystallization. Consequently, can be high 500°C. could used plastics, fibers, or biomedical materials. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Biomed Mater Res Part B: Appl Biomater 2008
