摘要: Fluxes of the particulate heavy metals like chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn) and lead (Pb) were determined along Piracicaba River basin. Suspended sediments from main channel tributaries sampled during January 2005 (high water period) analyzed for total concentrations after extraction by alkaline fusion procedure. The average showed a significant increase pattern upstream to downstream Zn, Cr, Ni, Cu Pb, except Co, in which only small variation was noted. specific fluxes Cr Ni slightly higher (79.9, 33.3 20 kg km-2 yr-1, respectively) comparison other industrialized regions Asia, Europe, North South America. Significative correlations between organic matter observed suspended basin, revealed that adsorbed or complexed matter, while Pb significatively correlated with Fe oxide. geo-accumulation index (Igeo) used evaluate pollution degree sediments, medium strong Zn entire basin moderate at direction around an important area covered sugar cane plantations urban areas influenced domestic sewage.
