摘要: Abstract The application of large sized honeycomb structured monolithic carbon fibre composites (HMCFC) to CO 2 capture was evaluated experimentally using simulated flue gas in 2.0 m long, adsorption column. average capacity pure on the HMCFC, 11.9 wt% (mass uptake) at ambient temperature and pressure. With a (at 298 K) consisting 13 vol% (partial pressure 13 kPa), 5.5% O balance N , efficiency during breakthrough study found be over 98%. After adsorption, thermal regeneration that applied 398 K without any inert purge recover adsorbed gas, resulted desorbed concentration up 100%, but with recovery less than 20% while vacuum (up 30 kPa) yielded 5% . However, combined an effective desorption strategy achieve very high purity. Also, after step, when adsorbents were flushed specific quantitites more concentrated obtained. Under optimum operating conditions, exhibited 100% from input 97%. composite showed good mechanical stability, unaffected by water moisture condensation experiments repeated heating cooling.
