Modeling the effects of influenza vaccination of health care workers in hospital departments

摘要: Nowadays health care worker (HCW) vaccination is widely recommended. Although the benefits of this strategy have been demonstrated in long-term settings, no studies performed regular hospital departments. We adapt a previously developed model influenza transmission nursing home department to study effects HCW wards. both effectiveness and efficiency reducing hazard rates virus infection for patients. Most scenarios under show similar or higher impact than has predicted department. Therefore, it seems justified extend recommendations vaccination, based on results setting, short-term settings as well.
