摘要: Hi-tech industrial or biotechnological laser applications request for picosecond pulsed 2-μm generating sub-1-J pulses in >kHz repetition range. At HiLASE center the development of system with target to generate 1-J 1-kHz rate has started. In this paper, we present a concept and demonstrate recent results from first part – holmium fiber oscillator. The front-end is pumped by continuous wave <1-W thulium at wavelength 1950-nm. Mode-locking operation oscillator reached dispersion management cavity. self-starting configuration 45-mW average power 22.5-MHz pulse energy 2-nJ.
