摘要: The optical theorem for plane waves is recognized as one of the fundamental theorems in optical, acoustical and quantum wave scattering theory it relates extinction cross-section to forward complex amplitude function. Here, extended generalized a cylindrical coordinates system case 2D beams arbitrary character opposed infinite extent. scalar monochromatic wavefronts considered, analytical expressions extinction, absorption cross-sections are derived framework resonance theory. analysis reveals presence an interference term describing interaction between diffracted Franz with elastic waves. applicable any object geometry located arbitrarily beam's path. Related investigations optics, acoustics mechanics will benefit from this context other phenomena closely connected it, such multiple by cloud particles, well resulting radiation force torque.
