摘要: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease in which the myelin sheath of central nervous system degraded, and 18.5 kDa isoform basic protein (MBP) reduced cationicity. In a unique case acute, fulminating MS (Marburg's variant), MBP considerably less cationic than from both normal, chronic MS-afflicted individuals. This electron microscopical study has identified that, vitro, Marburg isomer forms more extended protein-lipid complex healthy or correlation implies that chemical modifications to vivo contribute directly structural instability myelin, subsequent autoantigenic presentation this protein, observed MS.
